The current stake of biomedical technologies is to increase the diagnosis and care performances using a modelization and quantification of medical data becoming more and more rich in terms of information and accuracy. This goal requires a multi-disciplinary research in which information science and technology are omnipresent thanks notably to signal and image processing, control and command techniques and biophysics. In opposition to industrial systems for which it is relatively easy either to measure a signal or to generate an order, in the health domain the operations of measuring, of analysis and decision taking are by far more complex and still require big research efforts. The CRAN laboratory get involved in this research topic by relying upon both internal competences and an external multi-disciplinary network.
