Etude de nouvelles réactions radicalaires : Application à la synthèse d'alcaloïdes.

Abstract : The chemistry of nitrogen radicals is useful for synthesising numerous alkaloids in a simple and fast fashion. During this work, a new route to 2-imidazolines, precursors of imidazoles and vicinyl-diamines using amidinyl and stannyl radicals was explored and further extended towards other group transfers. In addition, a new methodology for generating amidyl radicals was also developed, based on the use of hydroxamyl xanthates. Finally, an attempt to synthesise the aspidospermidine, whose skeleton is present in a large variety of antimitotic agents, was carried out. The approach was based on a cascade cyclisation of an amidyl radical on a system obtained from Birch reductive-alkylation.
