Conception de cavités radiatives chauffées par plasmas de striction magnétique en régime 100ns

Abstract : This work estimates Z-pinch driven hohlraums capabilities to obtain high temperatures (>200eV). Simple models are proposed to calculate the performances offered by currents of 5 to 100 MA in 100 ns. The one dimensional physics of the Z-pinch at the length scale of its thickness and the hydrodynamics instabilities are studied. Then the enhancement of hohlraums performances with double nested Z-pinches or the use of an axial magnetic field is analysed. Z-pinch direct drive approach for inertial confinement fusion is finally considered. All the presented results are based on theoretical and 2D numerical approach and on the analysis of n.
