Le-gdcob, ion Er 3+ à 1,5µm dans la même matrice En effet les écarts d'énergie entre le niveau émetteur et le niveau situé directement en dessous sont très proches pour ces deux ions dans le GdCOB (6034cm -1 pour l'ion Er 3+ et 5532cm -1 pour l'ion Nd 3+ ) Il en résulte que la perte d'énergie par relaxation multiphonons représente 86% pour l'ion Nd 3+ et 87% pour l'ion Er 3+ de l'énergie stockée sous forme de peuplement du niveau émetteur.
