Résumé
This research falls under the field of the industrial engineering and positions precisely in logics of innovation upstream. The research of the productivity and quality are visions which were born with after war. But today, competition passed from a regional dimension to world. The company must now be able continuously to enrich its offer by innovating products and new concepts. For a few years, one has observed a tendency of the technological companies of sectors of points to build all or a part of their process of innovation around the set of themes of the usages. The question for FACOM is posed also today; with the appearance of an international competition able to make not only the bottom-of-the-range copy at a very cheap price, but also of the innovative products at very competitive prices, FACOM must be different by proposing in a way systematic and reasoned of the innovations which ensure a durable competing advantage to him; the disparate, not coordinated and opportunist innovation not allowing more to guarantee a perenniality for the company. The studies of usage make it possible in to articulate the bonds between the technique and the society in order to form and to structure of the fields of innovation in the system built by the interaction between these two poles. They allow the new shapes of comprehension of the market and especially, they bring knowledge and a fine comprehension of the customers and users. Thus, to innovate by the usage, the industrialists must be able to generate and control the production of collective reasoning innovating in phase upstream of the processes of innovation. The usage being a multidimensional and multi-field set of themes, the exploration of the space of the practical values must be structured in order to build strategies of design innovating in a context of intensive innovation. Our research registered in making and the experimenting of a conceptual framework making it possible to innovate and control, at the interface between the Research and the Development, a repeated innovation process by usage.
Cette recherche s'inscrit dans le domaine du génie industriel et se positionne précisément dans les logiques d'innovation amont. La recherche de la productivité et de la qualité sont des visions qui ont vu le jour à l'après-guerre. Aujourd'hui, la concurrence est passée d'une dimension régionale à mondiale. L'entreprise doit maintenant être capable d'enrichir continuellement son offre de produits innovants et de concepts nouveaux. Depuis quelques années, on observe une tendance des entreprises de secteurs technologiques de pointe à bâtir tout ou une partie de leur processus d'innovation autour de la thématique des usages. La question pour FACOM se pose également aujourd'hui. Avec l'apparition d'une concurrence internationale capable de faire non seulement la copie bas de gamme à un prix très bon marché, mais aussi des produits novateurs à des prix très compétitifs, FACOM doit se différencier en proposant, de façon systématique et raisonnée, des innovations qui lui assurent un avantage concurrentiel durable; l'innovation disparate, non coordonnée et opportuniste ne permettant plus de garantir une pérennité pour l'entreprise. Les études d'usage permettent d'articuler les liens entre la technique et la société afin de former et de structurer des champs d'innovation dans le système construit par l'interaction entre ces deux pôles. Elles permettent de nouvelles formes de compréhension du marché et surtout, elles apportent une connaissance et une compréhension fine des clients et des utilisateurs. Ainsi, pour innover par l'usage, les industriels doivent être capables de générer et de piloter la production de raisonnements collectifs innovants en phase amont des processus d'innovation. L'usage étant une thématique pluridimensionnelle et pluridisciplinaire, l'exploration de l'espace des valeurs d'usage doit être structurée afin de bâtir des stratégies de conception innovantes dans un contexte d'innovation intensive. Notre recherche s'inscrits dans l'élaboration et l'expérimentation d'un cadre conceptuel permettant d'innover et de piloter, à l'interface entre la Recherche et le Développement, un processus d'innovation répété par l'usage.
