Modélisation multiphasique pour le calcul des ouvrages renforcés par inclusions rigides

Abstract : The reinforcement of soils by rigid linear inclusions, where shear and flexural behaviour is to be accounted for, is becoming an increasingly used technique to enhance the serviceability and stability of geotechnical structures, although the simulation and design of such structures remains a very difficult task, due to the strong heterogeneity of the reinforced soil combined with the relatively high number of inclusions involved in such reinforced soil structures A multiphase model has been recently developed, allowing to perform the simulation of such structures with a considerably reduced computational effort, compared with that required by a direct simulation, where the inclusions have to be discretized as individual elements. The present work is aimed at implementing such a model in the context of an elastoplastic behaviour for both constituents, with a particular emphasis on the shear and flexural effects prevailing in the rigid inclusions. Starting from the derivation of some analytical solutions, a fem.-based numerical code is then developed and applied to simulating the behaviour of some typical reinforced structures, such as piled raft foundations and slope stabilization systems.
