Recherche, croissance cristalline et caractérisation de nouveaux matériaux pour microlasers bleu et infrarouge

Abstract : Lanthanides activated solid-state lasers show many advantages: compactness, high monochromaticity, low divergence. Two spectral bands are studied: around 1.55μm and the blue one. Yb3+-Er3+ codoping of hosts like CAS (Ca2Al2SiO7), LnCOB (LnCa4O(BO3)3 - Ln=Y,Gd), GdVO4 or CLAPO (Ca8La2(PO4)6O2) leads to an emission around 1.55μm. After crystal growth and spectroscopic studies, laser effect is obtained around 1.55μm in CAS and LnCOB. Thanks to Nd3+-doped materials, we look for a short laser wavelength (~900nm) to get a blue laser after frequency conversion. Hosts for Nd3+ ions are aluminates, ABAlO4 (A=Ca,Sr - B=Y,Gd) or ASL (Sr1-xLaxMgxAl12-xO19), gallates ABGa3O7 (A=Ca,Sr - B=La,Gd) or scheelites AMO4 (A=Ca,Sr,Ba - M=Mo,W). After crystal growth and spectroscopic studies, laser effect around 900nm is obtained in CaWO4, SrLaGa3O7 and ASL. This latter leads to a blue laser at 450nm by intracavity frequency doubling with LBO, BiBO, GdCOB, YCOB or Gd0,58Y0,42COB.
