Le réacteur est placé dans un bain thermostaté à 50°C. L'agitation mécanique est maintenue pendant toute la synthèse entre 60 et 120 tours ,

On obtient alors environ 55 g d'une huile noirâtre Le KCl est éliminé par deux extractions successives DCM/eau salée (environ 2L de DCM et 2L d'eau salée) La phase organique est séchée sur Na 2 SO 4 . Après évaporation à l'évaporateur rotatif puis sur rampe à vide classique le tout est chromatographié sur silice non dégazée (fritté de diamètre environ 20 cm ; hauteur de silice environ 10 cm ,
La cristallisation est accélérée par l'ajout de quelques germes du diastéréomère (R)-II-24b. Après 12 h les eaux mères sont canulées et les cristaux lavés avec environ 10 mL de méthanol ,
