Study of vibratory behaviour of thin walled parts in finishing milling operations : application on blades of high pressure aeronautical turbo compressor

Abstract : This research works deals with the vibratory behaviour of thin walled parts in finishing milling operations. This study has as an application on the blades of high pressure aeronautical turbo compressor. The geometries and the dynamical behaviours of such parts induce some vibrations during their finishing machining. The bibliography of the various works realised about the dynamics of the cut shows that the solutions are not obvious and that there is no way able to predict the vibrations on this context. In order to control the maximum of experimental parameters, this study has been performed with flat samples. The concept of acceptability of a vibrated surface will be approached, as well as the definition of suitable parameter used to characterize this surface. These results have been compared with those resulting of software based on temporal method. A good correlation between the different vibrated zones has been npticed. The final development of the model will be performed on a later study.
