Segmentation morphologique et topologique de cubes sismiques

Abstract : n a context of oil and gaz exploration and production, much information can be extracted from 3D seismic cubes. This information provides the geophysician with a knowledge of the subsoil structure and the geometry of the geological layers. Geometrical information is important for further processing and extracting surfaces corresponding to geological layers is a necessary step. Current techniques of extraction most of the time requires the help of a specialist to be correctly achieved. This is a tedious job which takes a lot of time. The present work deals with semi-automatic extraction of main geological layers from seismic amplitude datasets acquired by seismic reflection. It consists in segmenting seismic data by means of morphological and topological tools. Our process is almost automatic and allows the user to save time. Some applications to seismic data improvement are also given in this manuscript. They facilitate further processing and pattern extraction of 3D seismic data by providing methods to compute seismic attributes.
