Selfhealing of teh damaged zone around the tunnel in little permeable rocks

Rose Hamza
Abstract : Three types of clays were studied in this thesis, Mol clay (plastic clay), Mont Terri clay ( Opalinus clay) and Est clay (stiff clay). The thesis includes three parts : The experimental part allowed us to identify the phenomenon of self- healing and closing of cracks. We looked, through several types of tests, to determine the evolution of the permeability for the intact and damaged argillaceous samples in step with time and various hydromechanics loading applied. A rheologicallaw to describe the phenomenon of self-healing was developed from the experimental observations and under certain assumptions .
