Etude de structures élancées précontraintes en matériaux composites, application à la comception des gridshells

Abstract : Composite materials are new materials with high deformability and high stiffness. In civil engineering, structures that require these two properties are rare and gridshells are a good example of such buildings. Indeed these structures with double curvature are obtained by elastic deformation and then bracing of a plane grid with no shear rigidity. The large displacements and the large rotations that occur during the phase of assembly of these slender prestressed structures require consideration of important geometrical non-linearities. A specific numerical tool based on the dynamic relaxation method is therefore developped and validated. It provides a new approach to the form of gridshells and enables the developpement of an original formfinding method. It is also used for the geometrical study and structural analysis of a prototypes of gridshell in composite materials built on the site of the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
