Détermination de la réponse asymptotique d'une structure anélastique soumise à un chargement thermomécanique cyclique.

Abstract : In order to predict engine cylinder head lifetime, we propose a new method to solve problems of structures undergoing thermal-mechanical load cycles which lead to fatigue. This alternative strategy to the classical incremental method, the direct cyclic algorithm, permits to determine directly the asymptotic response of a structure subjected to cyclic thermal-mechanical loads, without simulating the transient cycles during which the structure shakedowns elastically or plastically. The algorithm derives from the Large Time Increment Method proposed by Ladevèze (Ladevèze), which is based on the separation of the resolutions of the global and local equations, and the cyclic method developed by Akel and Nguyen (Akel, 1989), which uses the periodicity property of the asymptotic solution. The direct cyclic algorithm has been implemented in Abaqus V6(Abaqus Inc). Analysis of an engine monocylinder shows interest of such method.
