Taxonomie des connaissances et exploitation en conception préliminaire : application à un système éolien.

Abstract : Methods of the knowledge structuring in mechanical design, based on functional approaches are analysed and compared. A semantic analysis conducted in conjunction with functional analysis has showed that it is difficult to carry out a database if the diversity of verbs used is not reduced or limited. We propose an energy approach based on the Law of System discrete direct differentiation method, Completeness. The achievement of a function goes through the transformation of an energy converter, this energy is transmitted by a transmitter and used by the operator to perform the action, and the operator can only be a transmitter or a converter. Thus, we reduce the system to 3 entities plus the entity of Control/Order. Moreover, we note that we limit, as first level, action verbs to two verbs such as convert and transmit. This first level will be followed by the one which includes more accurate synonyms verbs associated with supplements that are directly associated with identified components. Thus we can define a taxonomy that allows you to build a knowledge base of components based on energy, transformation and transmission. It is associated with an organic structure systematic and repeatable at each level of analysis. A preliminary design method is developed from the use of a aforesaid database. The energy analysis of the implementation of the action allows building a technical flowchart particular technical and to choose in the database of components such as converters and transmitters. Then, we proceed to the arrangement of these components and select the standard interaction components basing on logics, similar to the mechanisms theory. The next phase consists to recover the associated physical models (law of the energy conservation) in the database and select the produced effects and then induced effects in order to achieve a global model system for use in preliminary design. The result of simulation can calculate variables related to the assessment criteria of functional requirement that give the elements of a decision support. The study of a wind turbine system, particularly the design of the gearbox (transmitter) and its cooling system (controlling induced effects) serves as an example of the use of the database and the associated design method.
