Comportement mécanique des ouvrages en plaques de plâtre sur ossature métallique

Abstract : In this research we have studied the mechanical behaviour of the plaster plate structures associated to steel stiffeners. A finite element analysis has been used in this study and two specific subprograms were developed in the "MARC" code. A large compaign for an experimental study has been finalised to identification of the developed model parameters. The individual components of the plaster plate (cardboard and plaster) have different characteristics from their virgin state (before association) to the state after production process. Thus, a global approach was adopted to identify the plate as a homogeneous equivalent material. For this a global plasticity model has been developed to simulate the non linear material's behaviour of the plaster plate "GENSTR". A second module "USPRING" based on the definition of spring elements has been developed to take into account the problems of variable boundary conditions caused by the screw's connection and by the interfaces (plate plaster and steel stiffeners). These different approaches coupled with the developed subprogram constitute an appropriate model for the numerical simulation of the mechanical behaviour of the plaster plate structures. The model has been validated by a comparison with experimental tests. This comparison gives consistancy between experimental and theoretical results. This study constitutes a fundamental design tool for this kind of structures.
