Calcul en fatigue des ouvrages métalliques par la mécanique de la rupture (approche probabiliste)

Abstract : This thesis concerns a probabilistic analyse of metallic or mixed bridges on fatigue. In this thesis, we propose new methods for calculating the reliability index ß and for evaluating the probability of failure, based on Miner's linear damage model and Paris' crack propagation law with yield, which take into account the probable load due to real traffic and the strength determined for fatigue tests. The application of central limit theorem allows analytical calculations of the cumulative damage and the simulation of crack length as a Markoff process simplifies the solution of the probability distribution. A computer program has been written for calculating the J integral and for determining the stress intensity factor.
