Nouvelles perspectives pour la formation de liaisons Carbone-Carbone et Carbone-Oxygène : Vers des réactions à économie d'atomes et d'étapes catalysées par des complexes de Ruthenium

Abstract : This manuscript presents the use of a catalytic system composed of ruthenium(II) or (III) precursor and a reductant associated with a ligand for the development of atom economy reactions aiming at the formation of C-C and C-O bonds. In particular, the flexibility of this catalytic system enables to fine-tune the steric and electronic properties of the catalyst by an appropriate choice of the ligand which can lead to new reactivities. Indeed, hydroarylation and hydroalcénylation reactions of alkenes have been achieved, as well as the direct coupling of two alkenes and the formation of esters from aldehydes by Tishchenko reaction. In addition, the use of a hydride acceptor allowed the development of tandem processes through dehydrogenation/C-C and C-O bond formation sequences. We have thus developed the functionalization of arylalkylméthanol by a tandem oxidation/hydroarylation reaction, and the formation of esters and lactones from alcohols and diols. Formation of polyesters by a novel approach from diols has also been studied, highlighting the great versatility of this catalytic system. Key words : catalysis, atom economy, ruthenium, C-
