Ce-qui-permettrait, Par ailleurs, nous n'avons représenté, dans notre modèle, que le marché immobilier résidentiel, sans s'intéresser directement au marché immobilier d'entreprise, en nous fondant sur l'hypothèse qu'ils sont, au moins en partie, distincts, pour des raisons de rigidité du type d'usage des sols ou des locaux. Toutefois, ces deux marchés ne sont, en réalité, pas totalement hermétiques, et un certain recouvrement entre les deux a lieu Autrement dit, une concurrence est susceptible de s'établir entre les usages résidentiels et professionnels Une extension de notre modèle à l'aide d'une représentation à la manière de Wheaton (2004) de la concurrence entre marchés immobiliers résidentiel et d'entreprises serait intéressante, car elle renseignerait sur les conditions de l'étalement des emplois, et de la mixité des usages du sol. Enfin, conçu comme une extension du modèle monocentrique standard, notre modèle ne prend en compte que les déplacements domicile-travail. Si nous avons rappelé, à partir d'une analyse bibliographique, que ces déplacements restaient très importants tant en termes de volume que parce qu'ils structurent une grande partie des autres déplacements des ménages, il n'en demeure pas moins que d'autres types de déplacements tendent à prendre de l'importance (achats, loisirs). Or, ces déplacements , dont les logiques peuvent être très différentes de celles qui sous-tendent les déplacements domicile-travail, peuvent influencer le choix résidentiel, ou à l'inverse avoir un fort impact sur la mobilité de ménages dont le choix résidentiel a été établi sur la base de leurs déplacements domicile-travail, ou l'extension que nous en avons proposée) reste une piste à explorer
