Contribution à l'étude et à la commande des colonnes de distillation multiconstituants

Abstract : Firstly we present a construction framework for models of distillation columns for a wide class of thermodynamical models including an arbitrary number of components and the hydrodynamical behaviour of the plates. The results of the litterature concerning binary columns are recalled. Then we prove the existence and uniqueness of the steady state of a distillation model with 'constant molal overflow' and the invertibility of the thermodynamical equilibrium. We define the concept of 'simplex-relative' functions to describe the properties of functions from a simplex onto itself as they occur in thermodynamic models. The results are based on the topological degree theory applied 1.0 this kind of functions. We then show an extension of the aggregation technique (model reduction) and its use for control. We test the resulting control law in simulations on a mode! of an indust.rial high purity distillation column.
