Abstract : This work follows the spririt of the activities developed in the "Mecawet" group of the PMMH laboratory. The common point of these activities lays on the study of slender structures. We are more particularly interested to the deformation of flexible structures by capillary forces, to the flow of tiny grains, or conversely wide objects, in soft tubes and to the buckling of tubes under pressure. Following the usual approach from the group, we develop macroscopic model experiments with the goal of extracting physical ingredients. Indeed human scaled experiments allow for a precise control of the physical parameters over a wide range.
