Modélisation de l'érosion fluviatile long-terme : application au Bassin parisien (faibles érosions) et au Rhône messinien (fortes érosions)

Abstract : A model of long term fluvial erosion is proposed based on physical processes. We integrate tectonic, climatic , eustatic and lithological influence. We study the competition beetween water discharge and sediment supply due to climatic variation. An analytical model is proposed to describe the threshold value of water velocity for erosion and sedimentation.The model permit to interpret fluvial terrasses of the main paris basin rivers (Seine, Somme, Marne). Uplift is quantified and is around 1.06 to 0.09 mm/year during the last climatic cycles. Main incision occured 40 to 60ky ago.In the case of deep incision, isostic rebound is quantified. In the case of the Rhone messinian river a method is proposed to quantify flexural rigidity
