Abstract : Neutral atoms are good candidates for quantum information processing. This thesis reports experiments done in this context using single rubidium atoms that are trapped individually in microscopic size optical tweezers. These tweezers are obtained by strongly focusing a laser beam. We show that one can individually control the internal state of the atom using two-photon Raman transitions between two fundamental hyperfine states. We observe Rabi oscillations between these two levels at frequencies as high as a few megahertz. We also study the coherence of this system through Ramsey fringes and spin-echo experiments and report coherence times of a few tens of milliseconds. Moreover, with the perspective of demonstrating the realisation of a quantum register, we show that one can displace an atom in an optical tweezer, and transfer it from one tweezer to a second tweezer while preserving the coherence and without any heating. In addition, in order to carry out conditional entanglement between two atoms, we study the photon emission of these atoms. We show that these atoms are an efficient triggered single-photon source and describe two-photon interferences experiments between two photons emitted by two independent atoms. These quantum interferences demonstrate the indistinguishability of the emitted photons.
