Milieux fibreux tissés : modélisation et simulation de la mise en forme des CFRTP à géométrie non développable

Abstract : To tend to reduce costs of composites forming process, it is necessary to have at one's disposal a simulation tool and a good knowledge of the behavior models, likely to be used. Several approaches related to the various scales of the woven brous mediums are analyzed ; the construction of constitutive laws for these mediums depends closely on the directional properties induced by each family of fibers.
An experimental and a numerical analysis of doubly curved parts stamping are carried out : stamping of dry woven reinforcements and thermoforming of pre-impregnated thermoplastic composites are performed. The objective is, in the first case, to observe the deformation mechanisms concerned and to measure some characteristic sizes, and in the second case, to approach the real conditions of CFRTP thermoforming on an industrial level. Solver PAM FORM is used for the process simulation.
After characterizing the constitutive relation implemented, several tests are carried out and a comparison is proposed between results obtained by simulation and those obtained in experiments. The formulation used having proven reliability in the case of unidirectional reinforced composites, we propose some tracks to build a constitutive law for woven reinforced composites.
