Spectro-imagerie aéroportée par transformation de Fourier avec un interféromètre statique à décalage latéral : réalisation et mise en oeuvre

Abstract : In spectral imaging, a scene is imaged in parallel in a large number of spectral bands. Since the current size of focal planes does not allow to acquire the full information simultaneously, most existing instruments involve scanning either in the spectral or in the spatial domain. Unfortunately, this leads to wasting most of the available light. In the midwave or longwave infrared (3µm - 5µm and 8µm - 12µm), the detector noise is too significant to suffer this waste of light. A high étendue imaging static Fourier-transform spectrometer, consisting of a two-dimensional imaging system and a two-waves interferometer, is a solution to this issue, and is furthermore well suited to airborne imagery. We studied such a system, focusing on its radiometric performances, its size, and the impact of optical aberrations. We then built up an instrument in the visible range, in order to demonstrate the optical concept, which was done during an airborne campaign.
