Abstract : This thesis studies the modelling and the numerical simulation of two-phase flows with interfaces and phase change. This transition occurs through interfaces that are generated dynamically. We also take into account the heat diffusion, the surface tension and the gravity forces. The context is the simulation of two-phase flows in a pressurized water reactor in the civil nuclear industry. We are interested here specifically in potential accidents and in particular in the boiling crisis. Two-phase flows with phase change are modeled by the Euler system closed by a single equation of state (EOS) obtained assuming local and instantaneous equilibrium with respect to pressure, temperature and chemical potential of each phase. We next prove the hyperbolicity of the system and study its Riemann problem. From a numerical point of view, since there is no explicit expression of the equilibrium EOS in the general case, we propose simple means to approximate this EOS when both phases are governed by any type of EOS, including tabulated ones. Finally, we present a relaxation/projection type numerical scheme based on this approximation of the equilibrium EOS for simulating two-phase flows with phase change.
