Abstract : Awareness of entanglement arised in quantum mechanics as Einstein, Poldosky and Rosen questionned the completeness of quantum mechanics theory. As demonstrations of this phenomenon became more and more convicing, physicists began to use it to process information for quantum information and quantum computation applications. In the latter, experimentalists have been able to provide proofs of principle, but now face the challenge to scale up the number of carriers of information while keeping a complete control over them. This thesis contributes to this general framework. We present here an experiment where manipulation of two cold rubidium atoms individually trapped in optical tweezers allows us to study their dipole-dipole interaction when excited in a Rydberg state. We demonstrate the phenomenon of Rydberg blockade and use it to entangle the two atoms. Finally we present our measurements of the interaction between atoms, supported by our theoretical models, to discuss the limitations of our experiment.
