Innovation et éco-conception à l'échelle urbaine : émergence et modèles de pilotage pour un aménagement durable

Abstract : This thesis addresses the issue of innovative urban planning practices. Rather than individual experiences, we seek to identify the general principles on which the new practices and theories of innovative urban planning and innovation are based. The emphasis is on the emergence of a collective role of 'designer' during a process of innovative design and its impact on the identities of the designer-actors. Empirical case studies serve to observe the organization as a constantly changing object, where the design processes reveal dynamics of interactions of far greater value than any preconceived managerial form. In this exchange of responses and gestures (Mead 1934), the interactions, linked with the object and vice versa, prompt the emergence of a collective role, which in turn shapes the object to be created.
