Étude du couplage aéro-mécanique au sein des moteurs à propergol solide

Abstract : Fluid Structure Interaction of an inhibitor with the internal flow induced by wall injection was studied in an axisymmetric cold flow apparatus. Experiments were carried out over a wide range of injection velocities in order to underline how the obstacle not only modifies the mean flowfield but also its entire dynamic behaviour.The resulting instability (from the interaction of the unstable shear layer with the Taylor-Culick flow) exhibits a significant shift with respect to the Taylor-Culick instability and therefore emphasizes the strong impact of the inhibitor on hydrodynamics.The mecanisms responsible of such behaviour are studied in this thesis with the help of global linear stability analysis and multi-physics numerical computations.
