, En fonction du vieillissement, la présence des prédécesseurs métastables de la phase S a également été déterminée en DSC et vérifiée en HRTEM et nous a permis de tracer une cartographie de précipitation de la phase S en fonction du temps et de la tempéra-ture. Cinq domaines ont ainsi été identifiés : un domaine "co-clusters + zones GPB

L. , évolution de la microstructure couplée à l'étude de l'évolution des propriétés mécaniques a révélé que le pic de dureté est atteint dès lors que la phase S stable atteint sa fraction maximale dans l'alliage. Plus particulièrement, lors de la germination, les propriétés restent inchangées, puis, lors de la croissance

, JMAK et DICTRA) et l'expérience concernant l'évolution de la fraction relative de la phase S, cela nous a permis d'établir des équiva-lences temps/température pour le domaine de croissance de la phase S. De même, des équivalences temps/température ont pu être établies concernant l'évolution des proprié-tés mécaniques post pic de dureté. Ces équivalences, basées sur des lois du type Arrhenius nous ont permis de tracer une cartographie temps/température/propriétés en lien avec la cartographie de précipitation de la phase S. Ces équivalences se justifient en outre par le

Les-mesures-de-conductivité-Électrique, permettant de déceler les évolutions microstructurales se révèlent ainsi être un excellent moyen de contrôle non destructif pour analyser le stade de vieillissement d'un alliage d'aluminium 2024 et permet en outre de remonter aux propriétés mécaniques correspondantes de l'alliage, en lien, comme nous l'avons vu, avec une microstructure

L. , une sollicitation mécanique a également été déter-miné à travers trois types d'essai : -en traction statique en température : ces essais nous ont permis d'observer, à partir de 150 °C, le cumul du vieillissement avant et pendant l'essai mais sont néanmoins difficiles à analyser à cause de la part de la viscosité qui

, 2% , la résistance maximale à la traction Rm et l'allongement à la rupture A%) pour l'alliage 5086 H111 en fonction des conditions de vieillissement sont représentés sur la Figure 4.7. Comme nous l'avons vu dans la partie précédente, le vieillissement ayant peu d'impact sur les propriétés mécaniques de l'alliage 5086 à l'état initialement H111, la variation observée des propriétés mécaniques lors des essais réalisés en température est uniquement due à l'effet de la température d'essai. En effet, si la température a peu d'impact sur l'évolution de la limite d'élasticité (Figure 4.7a), on observe qu'elle a un impact sur la résistance à la traction dès 120 °C et sur la limite d'élasticité dès 150 °C. Ces deux grandeurs diminuent d'autant plus que la température augmente, Les résultats des essais de traction réalisés aux températures correspondant à celles des vieillissements (les valeurs de la limite d'élasticité Rp 0

, A partir de ces cartographies, les tailles de grains ont été mesurées dans les sens RD (direction de laminage) et ND (direction normale au laminage) et sont équivalentes pour les états initial H111 et vieilli (Tableau 4.3) ce qui indique une stabilité de la taille de grains même dans les conditions les plus favorables à la croissance de grains (longues durées et hautes températures). Par ailleurs, les mesures ont été étendues sur une cartographie réalisée à travers toute l'épaisseur de la tôle (Figure 4.9) afin de vérifier l'évolution de la taille de grain dans le matériau. En effet, ce paramètre peut s'avérer impactant, notamment en ce qui concerne la résistance à la corrosion intergranulaire de ces alliages [115], les plus petits grains étant plus sensibles à ce type de corrosion, Les cartographies de figures de pôles inverses de la matrice d'aluminium réalisées en EBSD sur l'alliage 5086 à l'état initialement H111 et à l'état vieilli 5000 h à 250 °C sont représentées sur la Figure 4.8

, 10) a révélé qu'il n'y a pas d'évolution significative des désorientations moyennes internes (Tableau 4.4) pour les deux états étudiés, soulignant le fait que sous un vieillissement de 5000 h à 250 °C l'alliage n'évolue pas en terme de microstructure de grains. Ceci est confirmé par l'analyse des figures de pôles pour les états initial et vieilli qui ne révèle pas de changement de texture sous l, Cependant, l'analyse de ces mêmes cartographies par critère de GOS

, Aucun changement significatif n'a donc été observé à l'échelle des grains ni en terme de taille de grains ni en terme de recristallisation pour l'alliage 5086

, Le vieillissement de l'alliage 5086, à l'état initialement H111, dans la gamme de temps et de températures étudiée n'a pas entraîné d'évolutions significatives des propriétés mécaniques

, En effet, cette gamme de vieillissement n'a pas engendré de modifications de la structure des grains de l'alliage qui aurait conduit à des variations importantes des propriétés mécaniques. En outre, les faibles variations décelées doivent résulter de l'appauvrissement de la solution solide en éléments de solutés [57] du fait de la précipitation de la phase

. Néanmoins, nous avons établi un lien entre le vieillissement de l'alliage 5086 initialement à l'état H111 et sa susceptibilité à la corrosion intergranulaire. Nos résultats sont en accord avec la littérature et nous avons confirmé un domaine critique de sensibilité entre 120 et 175 °C

, 125] et les longues durées d'exposition aux basses températures ne doivent pas être négligées comme l'a illustré le vieillissement réalisé à 85 °C durant 10 000 h pour lequel nous avons obtenu le plus haut degré de sensibilité à la corrosion. Ceci est en accord avec les observations réalisées par Oguocha et al. sur un alliage 5083 qui montrent que, Des équivalences entre le temps et la température pourraient être établies pour la précipitation de la phase ?, vol.29

, Selon Jain et al. [116], il pourrait être intéressant de définir une distance seuil entre les précipités formés aux joints de grains à partir de laquelle l'alliage serait considéré sensible à l'IGC. Par ailleurs, on a pu observer dans plusieurs cas (à l'état initial H111 par exemple) que la précipitation de la phase ? semblait impacter uniquement certains joints de grains. Ces observations pourraient être justifiées par le fait que, comme le montrent certains auteurs, la phase ? se forme préférentiellement sur les joints de grains favorablement orientés, Un lien a ainsi été établi entre la susceptibilité à l'IGC et la précipitation de la phase ?

, Au delà d'un certain niveau de vieillissement, nous avons pu constater une amélioration de la sensibilisation à l'IGC. Cette amélioration pourrait être due soit à la globularisation de la phase ? [117] soit à sa dissolution, vol.49

C. Dans-notre, IGC concorde avec la dissolution de cette phase au niveau des joints de grains. L'amélioration de la résistance à l'IGC peut donc être envisagée dès lors que cette phase formée au niveau des joints de grains est dissoute, à condition cependant que les conditions d'exposition nécessaires à leur dissolution n'entraînent pas la recristallisation de l'alliage
