Contribution à l’amélioration de la conception préliminaire d’un produit : Approche basée sur l’implémentation des techniques d’optimisation

Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to propose an interactive design and optimization approach toimprove the preliminary design of product. This approach offers a set of tools to assistdesigners to make decisions without intensive expert inquiries. It consists in splittingthe preliminary design phase into two levels of design and optimization. In the firstlevel, the design process is based on a reduced (analytical) model of the product, whichis integrated in an appropriate optimization procedure to select best design solutions.The second level is based on the use of a fine (numerical) model of the consideredproduct to improve the design around a solution selected from results of the first level.The proposed approach is tested on a redesign case of a mechanical product. Throughtwo case study, the use of this approach leads to a significant improvement of theproduct design and the satisfaction of desired objectives in terms of performances. Theobtained results highlighted the efficiency of the proposed approach and open newperspectives for future research activities in the field of design process enhancement.
