, La particularité de cette base est d'intégrer des données issues de plusieurs bases nationales spatialisées : le Registre Parcellaire Graphique (RPG) pour les cultures et les prairies, la BD Topo de l'IGN pour les éléments arborés et le réseau routier, et Corine Land Cover (CLC) pour les dispositifs, dont le Suivi Temporel des Oiseaux Communs (STOC) est typique (encadré), sont constitués d'un grand nombre de zones d'observation distinctes réparties sur l'ensemble du territoire national. Les espaces agricoles font l'objet d'une attention particulière avec notamment la mise en place de l'Observatoire Agricole de la Biodiversité sous l'égide du Ministère de l'Agriculture. Ces observatoires ont pour objet de suivre des évolutions de faune et de flore, et si possible d'en comprendre les causes. Pour ce faire, il importe de pouvoir caractériser les paysages autour des zones d'observations. L'offre croissante d'information spatialisée à haute résolution crée à ce titre de nouvelles possibilités. Caractériser les paysages sur ce type de dispositif est une démarche originale, tranchant avec celle plus classique consistant à cartographier un territoire continu (un bassin versant, une zone atelier?). En effet, l'objectif porte sur la production d'une batterie d'indicateurs paysagers pour chaque zone d'observation. De plus, Résumé Exploiter les données issues des réseaux nationaux d'observation de la biodiversité implique de pouvoir décrire précisément des paysages de quelques km² n'importe où en France. Nous avons testé l'élaboration de ce type de base de données au format original, dans le cas du suivi de l'avifaune en zone agricole
