Etude des médiateurs moléculaires des interactions microbiennes de la levure Yarrowia lipolytica avec les micro-organismes de son environnement biotique

Abstract : Microbial ecosystems consist of a wide variety of microorganisms in which interactions between species have been occured. The understanding and control of these ecosystems represent a scientific, health and economic challenge and pass through the identification and understanding of the interactions that control their functioning. The study of the interaction between the two cheese yeasts Yarrowia lipolytica and Debaryomyces hansenii, showed a decrease in the growth of D. hansenii in the presence of Y. lipolytica. Transcriptomic study has showed a dysfuncyion of the mitochondrial respiratory chain of D. hansenii in association with Y. lipolytica. Thiamin (vitamin B1) which has a beneficial role in the interaction model bacteria-yeast, was tested for its effect on growth and morphology of Y. lipolytica. We found that thiamin induced the dimorphic transition of Y. lipolytica, from the "yeast-like" form to the hyphal form. The transcriptomic analysis has shown that these morphological changes are accompanied by profound changes in the constituents of the cell wall and carbon metabolism of the yeast. We have shown that the presence of two bacterial strains of Brevibacterium aurantiacum, one producer of thiamine and the other does not produce, induce morphological changes in Y. lipolytica. Transcriptomic studies allowed us to conclude that the dimorphic transition observed in Y. lipolytica in presence of bacteria, from the "yeast-like" form to the hyphal form is not solely dependent on thiamin but also on the presence of bacteria.
