Compréhension et maîtrise des phénomènes d’interactions surfactant-polymères. Application à la stratégie d’injection de formulations en EOR chimique

Abstract : In this work, we are interested in surfactant-polymer chemical enhanced oil recovery (cEOR) and moreespecially in the interactions between surfactants and polymers. While the injection of surfactant reducesthe interfacial tension between oil and water, the polymer increases the viscosity of the aqueous phase.Using both could therefore be needed. We study the mechanisms of interactions between these chemicalsin order to improve the injections strategies of the unstable formulations in porous media.First, these formulations are characterized by volume (size of aggregates, rheological study and parametersinfluencing phase separation). Then, the injection of formulations into porous media allowed us todetermine the conditions for injecting these formulations into porous media and to understand pluggingphenomena. Finally, the effects on oil recovery rate were evaluated for different formulations.Injection Strategies have been proposed to improve the effectiveness of the formulations.
