Simulation de la rupture des composites stratifiés dans le cadre de modèles de plaques multicouches

Abstract : The failure of laminated composite structures is a complex phenomenon. It is preceded by several mechanisms of mechanical degradation of the material which depend on numerous design parameters (draping, stacking sequence, geometry, ...). Although developed since about twenty years, the modeling and simulation of these mechanisms remains a major problem: validations have been carried out only within a restricted field of use and their complexity limits their diffusion in the engineering field. In addition, the different scales of design require a wide variety of models whose almost disjointed application domains make their combined use non-trivial.The objectives of this thesis are to:-model the mechanical degradation mechanisms of composite materials to simulate their initiation and propagation under static and dynamic out-of-plane loadings, as a function of design parameters (drape, thickness, boundary conditions, impact energy, ...)- to integrate the damage and delamination mechanisms in composite materials in the framework of a stress-based layerwise theory, whose range of correctly simulated structures is wider than those of the currently retained models,-to include also the dynamic behavior of stress-based models and to evaluate the efficiency and the robustness of this approach on industrial test cases.It is part of the MARCOS 2 project involving ONERA and Dassault Aviation, whose goal is to combine the contributions of test campaigns to recalibrate the various models of mechanical behavior to the simulation tools developed in this thesis in order to provide, ultimately, a sizing tool for composite structures to obtain criteria of resistance after low velocity impacts.
