Méthodologie d'intégration de la fabrication additive comme source de créativité pour l'industrie manufacturière

Abstract : Additive manufacturing (AM) is a mature technology for the direct manufacture of certain functional parts, resulting in strong industrial interest in additive manufacturing. But the knowledge associated with this technology differs from traditional manufacturing processes, forcing designers to make different design decisions. A number of challenges mean that designers are not yet taking these decisions, which is holding back the integration of AM.Therefore, the objective of our PhD work is to help companies to overcome and mitigate these difficulties during the integration of AM into product design processes.This objective requires a methodological approach to ensure the proper integration of the technology in the industrial context. Indeed, the integration of AM requires transmitting and training the designers to the potential of AM, stimulating the creativity of the designers in order to overcome the cognitive biases imposed by the traditional manufacturing and directing the strategy of this integration in accordance with the context of the company.The goal of this PhD is to answer the following question: in a manufacturing company, how to integrate additive manufacturing in the early stages of design as a source of creativity in an innovation strategy?The contributions of this PhD work are the formalization, in the form of methodology, of the integration of AM: the ADAM² methodology (Augmented Design with Additive Manufacturing Methodology). This methodology is structured in 3 phases: a phase of adoption of AM, a phase of planning of AM and a phase of creativity and innovation with AM. The ADAM² methodology is structured around an additive manufacturing integration process and an associated design process. The contributions are demonstrated through a set of experiments.
