Méthodologie de mise en œuvre d’un dispositif de réalité augmentée en milieu industriel : application à la maintenance

Abstract : Augmented reality (AR) is gradually being deployed in industry on very specific tasks. This deployment is hampered by the lack of information on the real added value of AR. Previous work highlights its relevance on complex tasks where humans interact with a lot of information. However, the added value of AR in an industrial context is difficult to demonstrate on these tasks for which it is not possible to transpose results observed in the laboratory and the experiments mobilize many resources. We provide a data model for characterizing complex maintenance tasks, which considers the impact of AR on performance and users, for training classification algorithms to predict this impact before deployment. We are experimenting in the field to evaluate the selected assessment criteria and collect data to feed into the classification process. This work leads to the selection of the most relevant characteristics for the prediction of the added value of AR on complex maintenance tasks.
